About The Nootka Sea Glass Jewellery Making Party Group Workshop:
Gather together up to 8 friends or family members for a birthday, hen party or just a well-deserved get-together and spend three hours in the comfort of your own home or chosen venue* learning the art of working with sea glass for jewellery making & create your own unique pendant and earrings from sea glass that you'll be proud to wear.
Each of you will learn how to design and create TWO sea glass pendants OR a pendant or necklace and a pair of earrings that you'll be proud to wear. Full instruction will be given to help you magically transform your design from paper into a stunning unique pendant you'll be proud to wear.
As with all of my courses, this will be an intimate and personable workshop allowing for lots of individual attention if required.
Suitability:
The Nootka Sea Glass workshop is suitable for those with no previous knowledge of working with sea glass in jewellery making.
Itinerary:
*Introductions & housekeeping
*You'll learn about sea glass collections, it's history & the UK law in relation to beachcombing & sea glass gathering.
*I'll explain the best techniques of how to cleanse, buff and polish sea glass for making jewellery.
*You will learn to identify many different types of sea glass, its varying colours & rarities & I'll reveal secrets for the best beaches in the UK to hunt for sea glass!
*I'll show you all the tools needed to make a sea glass pendant from scratch. From cleaning, cleansing, sanding, grinding and polishing, to drilling and accompanying beading and also the names of relevant equipment suppliers.You'll become familiar with the different types of sea glass pendants & their creation techniques from flat to stacker styles.
*I'll teach you the do's and don'ts of drilling sea glass, how to drill sea glass safely & identify the relevant equipment needed. Please note I cannot bring a drill with me. Please note: I do supply pre-drilled pieces of sea glass which you are welcome to use in your creation or you may wish to bring your own pre-drilled pieces of sea glass. There is no pressure in my workshops!
*After you've learnt all the above, you'll be inspired to sketch out your own design on paper & choose your own sea glass pieces to use from my own collection.
*Creative pendant making will follow whereby you'll create two unique sea glass pendants to take home with you - one for yourself and one for gifting OR a pair of earrings and a pendant or necklace.

You are booking up to 5 places for a private party group workshop by purchasing this item.
Private party workshops can be taught at the party leader's home or in a local (to you) village hall or similar setting but you will be responsible for booking such a venue, and the venue will need to be agreed with Niki for accessibility and suitability before confirming your booking.
Refunds are not valid after fourteen days of booking party bookings. If after fourteen days you cannot commit to hosting the course, you must state this via email. A courteous offer of an alternative workshop date will be offered to you depending on availability. Guarantee of an alternative date cannot be given.
